October 9th - unveiling event for MDI.lu's newest product

MDI.lu will be unveiling a new product on October 9th. Catvolution will be there to cover the event.

What is the product? I can't say before the public event on the 9th...but it is pretty neat and amazing at the same time.

Also, MDI.lu updated their website, a vast improvement to their old site.

If you have any questions that you want to ask MDI, let me know and I'll do my best to get it answered.

Thanks.

Update on MDI.lu air cars and Catvolution.com's visit to their factory

MDI.lu and I have a great problem, instead of one type of product
vehicle, they have 3 seperate winning vehicles.

I signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement and can't comment further on it, but it was absolutely amazing... a real life-changing trip.

My original plan was to verify the validity of MDI.lu and then
independantly create a new business website promoting all vehicles
that can travel with zero pollution/emissions (not including the
pollution to charge the vehicles). There's Tesla, Zenn, Zap, and
many others that I would help promote.

Problem is that MDI was so great, I want to focus 100% on them.

Oh well, I am taking the whole summer off to see what I can do for
them and start to recoup all the $$$ I spent in the last 6 months
(please don't ask... it was a LOT, but money very well
spent/invested).

ttyl... 8-)

Post-trip review - MDI.lu's factory and meeting with Guy & Cyril Negre

Well the trip was definitely a life-changer. MDI.lu's products are going to come out on schedule and there is a lot that I can't discuss because of the NDA.

So I have to wait until they talk about certain things before I can.

In short, these guys are 100% focused on the vehicles and business plan... not so much on the Internet/web site front though. They should be showing a "new" website soon, and I'll have my comments on it when it appears.

take care and be seeing you again.

Videos of Cyril Negre of MDI + Catvolution.com's ride in the air car!

Wow... got some great videos of Cyril Negre discussing the Minicat and the 1st generation Citycat and the "Lab Car", a 2002 prototype Citycat, (1st generation), that the MDI engineers have been using for the last 6 years to perform practical tests on new engines and components.

New content coming... please be patient

I really have to cover my butt with the NDA and make sure they videos don't contain anything taboo (they don't).

I'm also making sure that the accompanying content doesn't cause more problems for MDI. People make way too many assumptions (myself included) and I want each video to have the full context so that it's harder for people with MDI grudges to attack/dismiss/mislead.

The videos I made at the auto show were also taken and spread around the internet on various sites (which I liked), one cases where they spoof my youtube channel, made themselves catvolution and have ads running making $ off of it (was a little unhappy with that). I need to embed text/audio in the videos as well (but I'm not a pro at it and I don't have a Mac).

Anyway, enough B.S. and excuses... I don't want to half-ass the pics/videos, so just wait. I don't like it anymore than you do.

P.S. It's the real deal.

Non-Disclosure Agreement? Arghhhhhhhh!!!!

Sigh... well I was expecting this, so I wasn't surprised when I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding certain things I would see and hear during the presentation and tour of the factory.

Please be patient with me regarding posting of information/photos/videos because there are certain topics that are ok for me to post, gray areas that should be cleared so I cover my butt and don't breach the NDA. Then there are and topics that are completely prohibited, i.e. I get sued (and rightfully so).

I learned a lot during the presentation and tour, and tried to gather any current information that would help clear up a lot of the confusion/misinformation/blatant lies that currently exist on some Internet sites. I'll try to post some of those pictures/videos tonight if possible... but just like the New York Auto Show, there was a lot of new information to process that doesn't exist on the Internet (some that I can't post either).

If I don't post tonight, it's because I have an hour with Guy Negre tomorrow to ask questions (hopefully interview on camera) before he has to deal with his other commitments (this is pretty sweet and should help clear up a lot of bad info). It's pretty rare to get that time with him so I don't want to waste it or screw it up.

I should also get video of the 1st Generation Citycat air car prototype running and clear up some of the bad information about that prototype.

Thanks and I'll be posting ASAP.

Trip to visit the MDI factory in Nice, France - June 6-13th

Yup, I really want to drive this thing and get more video/pictures on the internet.

Stay tuned for more information as the week goes on. I'm not a professional blogger/photographer, but I do relatively ok if you've seen the interviews on the Catvolution youtube channel.

Flight's tomorrow, so wish me luck! 8-)

http://www.citycataircar.com - New Fan site for the CityCAT C.A.V. (Air Car)

Ok, I had to think of a way to get the new information online without destroying the CATvolution fan web sites.

So, I created a new site http://www.citycataircar.com/ with the new information straight from MDI / Zero Pollution Motors (ZPM). This site focuses on the CityCAT Compressed Air Vehicle (Air Car) that will be produced by ZPM in the US in 2010.

Next, will be a new site for the Compressed Air Vehicle C.A.V (Air Car) that Tata Motors will produce in India in 2009/2010. Then I'll update the YouTube channel, add disclaimers to the "old" fan web sites and anything else that crops up.

More interviews with people at the 2008 New York Auto Show

There's 3 more interviews today of people who were willing to talk about the car. I tell them that I'm super-shy and couldn't do it, cause I'd be so nervous.

anyway, it was a late night online and a long day today, so i'll get an fresh start tomorrow.

Great new information on the India and North American models

Another full day with the Auto Show. Talked more with Mr. Negre and Mr. Vencat. Chatted it up with a lot of people at the show and there is a lot of interest in the compressed air vehicle, once people understand what it can do and how it works.

It was pretty funny watching people look at the car and laugh, then get very interested when they learn that it goes 800 miles on a 8 gallon tank of fuel.

btw, I learned that everything I thought I knew, was correct for the previous model, not the vehicle that was at the auto show.

That green vehicle is the model that Tata motors paid $30 million to produce in India, selling it in 2009 for $6000 USD. The 2010 North American model will be a 6-seater sedan with full safety and modern features that will get 106 miles/gallon and travel 90 mph on the highways. That will cost between $18,000-$20,000 USD.

I'd still take the green car now, spent more than $20k on my "real" car.

Excellent Day at the 2008 Auto Show

Well it was a long day for sure. I got off the bus on the red-eye trip and dropped off my stuff at the hotel. Grabbed my digital camcorder and camera gear and headed over before the doors opened for the main show.

FYI, you can visit the Automotive X-Prize Exhibit outside the ticket-required area.... for FREE!

Got the photos and a lot of video before the crowds poured in, with the interviews from Guy Negre & Shiva Vencat and the Automotive X-Prize representative coming in later in the day.

well all done the video and photo work, sending emails and now have nothing left for this..... oops.

Awesome dreams about this Air Car

Leaving Ottawa, the gas prices are at $1.04/litre. When the OneCAT finally catches on and people get it through their conditioned heads that you don't have to put gas in a car to make it go, there'll be a mad dash for these vehicles.

Maybe we can make an intelligence meter out of this. The lower the gas price is when you want to switch, the smarter you are. If you wait until gas is $1.50 a litre, you have serious denial issues, and at $2.00 a litre, you can be declared legally brain-dead.

Next post will be in New York!
